About the job The job involves tasks such as machine operation, unloading and loading of goods, as well as hands-on work such as driving and securing cargo. Your daily tasks and responsibilities in your role may also include forklift driving, efficiently stacking and storing products, and working with other tasks related to terminal work.

In the port work, you will work alongside other shifts, which means you will have varied tasks with a focus on machine operation. To ensure that you and your team perform the operation as efficiently as possible, communication via radio is used between different functions, which is why it is important that you can communicate clearly in Swedish. English may also be required when interacting with customers.

The operation is open 24/7 throughout the week.

About you We are looking for someone who enjoys working both physically and outdoors. You appreciate varied working hours and have no problem working regardless of the weather. You see safety as an important part of your performance to prevent accidents. It is also important that you can handle stress and maintain focus in high-pressure situations as the pace is fast at the terminal. Another important factor is that working hours can vary throughout the day and may involve shifts from day to night.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and see that this is a position for someone who is self-assured, responsible, and enjoys teamwork.

Requirements for the position

• High school diploma
• At least three years of work experience
• Driving license B (manual transmission)
• Forklift license A+B
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Many of the tasks at the terminal are specific to the workplace and require extensive training.

Mobile Consultant: You are employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work out at our clients. Being a mobile consultant means being employed by us at DFDS Professionals to perform work at client companies, where the workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and hiring may occur before the application deadline.
